Leading a team of 2 in design, development and SEO / search-friendly website implementations.
Major Accountabilities as Manager, eTechnology:
Identify standards and provide regular reports to the Management on data collected from WebTrends, Google Analytics, In-house tracking systems
Partnering with colleagues from various Business Units on managing and improving quality of online sites (information and inventory) and data collection
Monitoring and reporting progress of existing and new online solutions projects
Support the team in areas such as troubleshooting, system backup, archiving and disaster recovery
Conducting training as and when necessary for better web copywriting
Liaising with the publishers on the implementations of the DART Rich Media Motif Ad, such as peel-downs, video and expanding ads.
Search Engine Optimization (SEO) for all Reed Business Information Asia's websites, including keyword researching, landing page optimization, link building.
Coordinate and supervise the planning, design and development of all Reed Business Information Asia's websites.
Gathering feedback from the Business Units, understanding their needs and contribute to new ideas and functions that would be suitable for each site.
Research and lead the launch of new features for the sites, such as RSS feeds advertisements.
Support and coordinate with ad coordinators for text sponsorships, microsites, banners with DoubleClick DFP.
Project leader, in charge of team and resource management, as well as project scheduling.

Wilson Wong
Joined eGuide Singapore Pte Ltd in 1998. Initially focused on web development and that was when the first eGuide online directory was launched.
As the business model evolved to application based just before the internet bubble burst in Apr 2000, I assisted eGuide to roll out eMarketplace for companies to trade on this common platform. Shortly after the launch, initiated an overhaul to the system to facilitate online payment and allowed open purchasers to transact securely which drove sales profits up substantially.
Post acquisition by Reed Business Information Asia in May 2005, business direction was re-positioned hence was involved in the integration project with KellySearch, one of the largest B2B directories in UK and globally. The result of the integration has been beneficial to both the users and listers (paid & free) as users were fed with more global information but yet relevant and listers could reached out to more targeted audiences which generated more business leads.
As Google has emerged to be one of the top search engines, realized the benefit of able to leverage on search engines' traffic is extremely important, hence, started to do more in-depth research on SEO.(Search Engine Optimization). And, all researches was implemented on eGuide directory, which currently thousands of keywords ranked on the 1st page of Google search result (example bulk storage services, air ticket agencies).
Other than the hand-on experience, a promotion to eTechnology director in Jun 2008 has given great exposure in managing local infrastructure as well as regionally.
